STUDIO STORIES - JANUARY

For January, we invited Marina to visit our atelier. Her condition to be part of the Studio Stories was to start the newsletter with "I am the biggest YVY fan in the world" – and that's where we start. In fact, the trained beautician, owner of Beauty Check and co-founder of the Elixseri cosmetics line, has built up an extensive YVY collection over the past few years, ranging from our Everyday pieces like the UNI harness and Eileen choker to custom pieces from our Bespoke line. We were happy to see again some of our older pieces that we...

FEELINGS – GALLERY TAKEOVER

FEELINGS – A BOOK AND AN EXHIBITION BY YVY The heart is a big dancing ground, full of foolish and fantastic things.   After a digital-only year, we were very pleased to invite our customers and press to dive into the world of YVY. At our vernissage we had an intimate performance by the artist Crimer featured in the book, and a presentation by Lelia Hunziker about FIZ - Advocacy and Support for Migrant...

This month we invited the versatile Nilu to visit our atelier. Nilu is a 20-year-old graphic designer, model and in her spare time she makes music, as an expression of her feelings and experiences. Her fascination with leather comes from the strong expressive power of the material “it can be both soft and hard”, she tells us while she runs her fingers through the Snake Bustier. Nilu tells us that for her, clothing is an art form and a way to communicate and express herself. She adds that she uses clothing to reinvent herself and inspire others. The young creator...

STUDIO STORIES - SEPTEMBER

This month we invited the jewelry designer Milko Boyarov (@milko_boyarov_studio) to visit us and be part of YVY’s September Studio Stories. Originally from Bulgaria and living in Zurich since 2014, Milko shares with us that he likes to wear clothes that do not necessarily match, and that most of the time, he wears black.  The jeweler emphasizes, “I like having stand-out accessories - glasses, hats, belts, shoes - and jewelry”, while wearing the Martial Top – a bespoke piece exhibited publicly for the first time in this Studio Stories (1st picture). Milko views clothes as an armor, which can help...
