For January, we invited Marina to visit our atelier. Her condition to be part of the Studio Stories was to start the newsletter with "I am the biggest YVY fan in the world" – and that's where we start. In fact, the trained beautician, owner of Beauty Check and co-founder of the Elixseri cosmetics line, has built up an extensive YVY collection over the past few years, ranging from our Everyday pieces like the UNI harness and Eileen choker to custom pieces from our Bespoke line. We were happy to see again some of our older pieces that we had already lost from memory, and which the self-proclaimed YVY collector now brought to our studio. All YVY pieces pictured here, like the Mesh / Leather Kimono on the start picture, are from her wardrobe and we are thrilled to know the pieces are in such good hands.
The power woman tells us how she bought her very first YVY piece when she was searching for a leather beret. Since discovering ours at the Gallery Takeover in 2018, she wears it every day in combination with her signature red lips, gloves and sunglasses. "I like minimalism with maximum effect" she adds.
“I only wear black and white – combined with a YVY piece I feel most like myself. I just feel understood.” Marina says while wearing her UNI harness over a white YVY shirt.
