Once a month we photograph our community in or around our studio in Zurich. For our August Series we invited Carmen, a 70 year old model and true free spirit.
While visiting our studio Carmen points out that all pieces are a must have “My motto - YVY EVERYDAY! Everything can be ingeniously combined under or over my beloved black cashmere turtleneck sweater and it always matches my entire wardrobe.”
As the outspoken aesthete she is, Carmen uses clothes to express herself. Her selection at YVY goes from everyday pieces such as the Buckle Belt and the UNI Rings to our bespoke line from where she chooses the intemporal Brick Top.
“I found my style a long time ago – timeless, purist, black. Black clothing concentrates the attention on the person and it’s always elegant”, she tells us while wearing the UNI jumpsuit.
Carmen sense of aesthetics is something she shares with our founder Yvonne Reichmuth – “Whenever I meet Carmen, at a fashion or art event, I’m inspired not only by her class and sense of style, but also by her infectious positive energy. To see my pieces on her, how naturally and cool she incorporates them into her outfits is always a precious moment for me!”
While Carmen closes the buckles on her Wrap Bra, she explains with a laugh “YVY inspires stars and starlets - but I have been their fan since the very first hour!”
